JOE ALSIPPI – DaHorns

I have been playing sax for 52 years. I play tenor, bari, alto and soprano saxes. I’ve played up and down the East coast, Canada and on a cruise ship. I’ve backed up numerous bands in recording studios. Also worked with an oldies show band, a top 40 band, wedding bands and was with DaPhunk band several years ago.

Boots Randolph has been a major influence in my saxophone playing. I enjoy listening to bands that feature horns, such as Tower of Power and Here Come the Mummies.

I created a CD called Jukebox Hits by Joe Alsippi and the Steel City Five. Heath played bass on some of the songs on this CD and did a great job. It is a compilation of instrumentals, mostly older tunes.
